It may be for wedding, party, office wear, formal meetings etc.

Accessories for wedding or marriages and party

For weddings, parties or social gatherings, if you are planning to wear salwar kurta or kameez, you can wear light jewellery that goes well with your dress. Heavy jewellery should be avoided.

If you are opting for saree, then  you can wear heavy jewelry. As saris adds glitter to heavy jewelry. If the occasion is special even gold and diamond is a good choice.

From safety and budget point of view, today we have heavy artificial jewelry that gives shine and look of any gold or diamond set. Try them out they are safe and can be preserved for some years.

For marriages if you opting for lehengas, chaniya choli or sharara than prefer heavy and color matching jewelry. Even for formal parties and get together women are wearing traditional costumes to look hot and different along with a matching pair of accessories.

Accessories for casual costumes

If you are preferring to wear casual or western costumes like shorts, tops, jeans, skirts and others over traditional dresses again keep the occasion in mind and then go for it.

If the occasion is a family gathering or get together go for simple yet good looking accessories like your bangles, bracelets or jewelry. Don’t opt for too heavy ones. For example, go for artificial bangles  over glass one. The color or your bangles or bracelet should match your costume to add a classy touch. It is also a trend to wear pair of bangles in one hand.

If the occasion is a wedding or marriage, then go for glass bangles or gold and diamond bracelet. As in marriages we commonly see women’s give close attention to what the other women is wearing. So you have to wear the best accessories you have to look the best.

Pant Patterns

Cargo Pant

There are different types of pant patterns available. Each of them has their distinctive look and style. Before looking into them let’s look at the important part of your pant dressing i.e. fitting. The fitting of your pant decides how good appearance is. The following brief can be informative for both men and women.

Pant fitting

A perfect fitting of your pant makes you look more presentable and stylish. The fitting has to be perfect from waist till your foot. If we are getting  pants stitched by tailor, he ensures everything is perfect i.e. your waist, inseam and length. Nowadays the trend is shifting. More men are opting for online shopping websites, thanks to good discounts offered by them or due to good deals from shopping malls. Shopping from these sources is normally instant. We try out a particular pant, if it looks goods, we buy it. There are some points, if you consider them while trying out pants, I bet you will get a perfect fitting pant. They are as follows:

Inseam

This is your starting point. Take a measuring tape, put on a tight pair of shorts then hold the tape tightly against top of inner thigh under the crotch and then get the measurement done. Then check your inseam size measured with the standard sizes. Ideally you should prefer a little longer inseam. It adds to your comfort level.

Waist

This is another important area of your pant fitting. The waist size should be comfortable. You have to judge the waist area, where you place your pant, before taking a measurement of it. It should not be too loose or tight. Loose pants will give shabby look and tight waist will make you uncomfortable. Take a measuring tape and place it at little below the navel area and cover it fully about the waist till it overlap each other and round it to the measured half inch. Now that you got the exact measurement of your pant, check it with the standard sizes available.

Length

Now coming to the third and last part of your pant fitting. The length will depend on what type of length pattern you want. There are traditional simple types and fancy new patterns.

Simple or straight

In this pattern the width of the pant is same from knee till ankle. It is comfortable and ideal for our daily wear as it has a wider leg opening.

Boot Cut

In this pattern you have a wider opening of the leg. Jeans pants are best example of this pattern. Even in pants in late 70’s and 80’s it was a big hit.

Cropped

In this pattern the length of pant is cropped much lower down the leg and is between mid-calf and ankle.

Capri

They are similar to cropped pants. The only difference is that they are crop in between the mid calf and knee.

Tapered pattern

In late 60’s this pattern was widely followed. Now again this trend is back. Many youngsters are following this pattern. They get increasingly fine from hip to the ankle.

Jeggings Pattern

These are skin tight fitting. These pattern are used in stretchable denim fabrics. The fabric is as such is very flexible and even due to its tight fitting, it is comfortable.

These were some basic tips for getting a perfect fitting of your pant for a smarter look. Different brands have different fitting standards. Each of them may vary from each other. Any pattern you choose, comfort should be your first priority. Again the pattern can be selected depending on your occasion like casual, formal, wedding and others. Pants

Jeans Pants
Types of Pant / Trousers

In previous article, we had detailed information on men’s shirts buying guide. In today’s post, I will elaborate some basic knowledge on pant/ trousers buying. There are different types of pants or trousers in the market. Selection the best pant depends on your occasion, whether it is formal, casual, daily wear or party wear. Online shopping websites are all flooded with all these variety of men’s costumes. While selecting them be aware of the brand, price and quality of trousers.

Jeans

Jeans need no introduction. As per available information, it was originally developed in Nimes in France. In western and European countries like U.S.A., Canda, Spain etc it is the top selling costume. It is the most popular costume all over the world. It is made from denim fabric. It comes in all colors like white, black, blue, red etc. Jeans are today worn for all occasions. It may be formals, client meetings, casuals or party wear. You can wear it with shirt or your favourtie t-shirt. The different type and style of jeans are baggy, stone-washed, slim, fitted, flared, boot-cut, distressed etc. The only concern is the shrinkage of the fabric. Technology used now has taken great care of this problem now.

Corduroy

Corduroy is another stylish variant of pants. It is very popular because of its soft texture and different color patterns. It is a bit thick fabric and is mostly preferred in cool places. But still it has become popular all over the world. The care to be taken is with the storage. Don’t hang it folded over the hanger at it forms creases after some time. The best way to store it is by using clamping hangers as it attaches to the waist.

Khakis

Khakis are the second most popular type of trousers after pants. In Asian countries such India, China, Japan and others, its is very popular. It is made of cotton fabric. They are comfortable and stylish. You can wear them with shirts and t-shirts. Khakis come in white, black, beige and navy colors. Fashion designers have come with new colors and patterns to make it more stylish. They are either flat or pleated. The major attractions is the numbers of pockets at both front and back side at different positions.

Chinos

Generally people consider chinos and khakis same. But there are some differences. Khakis are made of 100% cotton. Chinos are made of blend of cotton plus other synthetic fibers or 100% synthetic. Chinos are preferred over khakis for formal wear. You can wear it with button down shirts or designer t-shirts.

Cargo pants

Cargo pants are another sibling of khaki pants. It is also made of pure cotton, denim, fiber blends. The only difference it has deep and large side pockets known as Velcro pockets just above the knees. These pockets are either at one side or both. They are available in different ranges and shades. These are mostly worn with t-shirts or sneakers. Now even at offices, one can find people wearing it. It is no longer a casual wear.

Track pants

Track pants are also called drawstring pants. These pants were made for the purpose of giving comfort and flexibility. In gyms and jogging parks, we commonly find people wearing it. It is best for exercise. It can be made of all types of fabrics or blended with each other. You have to be careful as feedbacks from customers of best online shopping sites complaining of cheap quality. Given below is step by step guide for selection best saree material or fabric.

The various types of Fabric available are:

Chiffon

Chiffon is used as fabric materials for sarees, blouses, tops, skirts, designer dresses, evening wear, ribbons, lingerie, shawls and scarves. Chiffon is made from silk, cotton, polyester or synthetic fibers. It is light in weight, plain fabric. . It is difficult to work with, because of its slippery texture. Among the chiffon fabric family, silk chiffon is the king. It is the expensive fabric.  It is made from natural fiber. Cotton fiber is also used to make chiffon which makes it more matte. Commercially synthetic materials are widely used as they goes well with dyeing technique. It is also very cost effective. They are slippery just like silk. Due to these features chiffon is to be hand washed carefully.

So you can select your best saree material for chiffon in above type of chiffon fabrics. Each one of above though belonging to chiffon family has its unique characteristics and cost. Chiffon is mostly preferred as party wear, wedding dress and special occasions.

Cotton sarees

Cotton sarees are the best selling sarees in India. Cotton fabric accounts for at least half of all clothing textiles in the world. As the climate in India is hot and humid, cotton is the natural choice. Net sarees are the all time popular party wear and wedding dress in India. The main usp of this saree is its lightness in weight. The weaving technique is as such, it is looped at intersections. It gives open spaces in between yarns. Fashion designers have crafted rich patterns and embroidery work. The price range is minimum 2000 INR and above depending on quality and brand.

Tissue Sarees

Tissue is a fabric made up of thin ribbons of metallic yarns, mostly of gold, silver or silk. Now a days it is not very expensive as it can be made up of polyster fabric. It is also easy to maintain. Salwar Suits

Kurta

Salwar Kameez

After saree, salwar kameez suit is the most popular Indian dresses. It is also popular in among all Asian countries. Now days, it has become style trends in many western and European countries. Thanks to our fashion designers. They have crafted a blend of rich designs and fabrics. Fashion shows have contributed immensely to its popularity. After salwar suits other popular variants are kaftans, lehenga choli dress, anarkali suits, ghagara choli etc.

The best part is, shalwar kameez can be worn by both man and women. Islamic countries are good example of it. They are worn in form of loose pajamas like trouser. The kameez is in form of a shirt or tunic. In this dress, salwar is a pajama which is tied to the waist by a string and it tapers the ankles. The kameez is a long / short / flared / straight and is worn over the shalwar. This dress has sleeves till the wrist, collar, buttons on front side. The third and most important part is dupatta. The dress is not complete without it. Dupatta / chunni is a important part of women salwar suits. It gives an attractive look to your whole personality. Fashion designers have wisely used it, to give best look. Dupattas are plain, printed, embroidered with lace work, and many exciting designs are made.

There are many types of salwar kameez, broadly we can classify them in following categories.

Indian Salwar Kameez

Just as you read above, Indian salwar Kameez is the simplest pattern. Traditionally, worn since long time, it is kameez (top) worn over salwar (pant). It has sleeves till wrist, collar, front side buttons, slits on sides and a dupatta. In every part of India, you will find this pattern. It is a popular daily wear dress. It is very comfortable, affordable and flexible. Cotton is the highly preferred fabric. Other fabrics such as georgette, chiffon, crepe, silk etc are also very popular. Various patterns and design are available in markets and online shopping sites in India.

Kurta or Kurti Pattern

As the time changed so did the dressing style. In late 80’s, fashion of wearing short form of Kameez started gaining popularity. Thanks to our new breed of fashion designers and marketing by online shopping websites. With the growth of working women, there was a need for a clothing pattern to make them feel comfortable and stylish. Thus, this short variant of kameez served the purpose. There is no compulsion of having a duptatta / chunni. Instead of salwar, it can be comfortably worn with your favorite jeans, cotton trousers. The best part is you can have any type of mix n match combinations. You can get beautiful embroidery designs, lace work, zari, designer prints and many more. It gives you the full freedom to be creative. The length of the kurti falls a foot or two below your waist. It goes well with fabrics like cotton, nylon, silk, georgette and others.

Churidar Kameez

In this pattern, the excess length of salwar i.e. churidar forms in folds. At the ankles takes shape of set of bangles. The name churidar is arrived from churi means bangle and dar means like. It is a unisex dress. It is worn with kameez by ladies and kurta by men. The main difference in salwar kameez and churidar kameez is the churidar. Salwar is replaced by churidar. It is a form of tightly fitting trouser. The main highlight is stretching of churidar. It is cut in big length and at the bottom it is tightly fitted with a button at the ankle. They appear to be skinny. Comparatively, it fits more to the lower half part of the body. It is a good match for heighted women. Fat women should avoid it. It is a trend setting pattern. In late 60’s and 70’s, it was like a wave. Movie heroines were seen in this pattern. Now fashion designers have added rich flavor of design and colors. All type of fabric like cotton, silk, georgette, nylon etc. goes well this pattern.

Parallel Salwar Kameez

It is a more stylish form of salwar kameez dress. Similar to kurta pattern, the kameez is short. The shortness of kameez is upto individual choice. The salwar takes form of body fitting pants, to fit through hips / thighs. In this pattern, you have your own creativity. Ask your designer / tailor for a pattern and he will get it done. It is mostly seen in Indian wedding functions. You can get embroidery designs, zari or lace work and many more. It really goes well with slim and tall women. With right combination of jewellery and accessories, you can steal the show at any function.

Designer salwar suits

We need no introduction for this. As we all know, nowadays the full focus is on fashion world. Fashion designers in India and across the globe have come out with amazing designs, patterns, colors and fabrics. Designer salwar kameez is in good demand. When you visit shopping websites of e-commerce players such as amazon, flipkart, snapdeal etc., you will get infinite choices. You can have them for any occasions like formal, daily wear, wedding etc.

Pajama salwar kameez

It is also called pencil suit pattern. In this, the salwar is not lengthy as compared to the traditional pattern, and it is not wrinkling around the ankle. The length is short at the lower leg. In this pattern also you can try different combinations of designs, patterns, colors and embroidery work. It is mostly worn by fat women to look slim. All types of fabrics go well with this pattern. You can even have a printed dupatta to complement your dress.

Patiala salwar kameez

Patiala is the name of a place in Punjab, India. It is a traditional pattern in this part of India. Due to its amazing look, design and comfort, it is now popular everywhere. The kameez is short. In this pattern, the salwar is pleated, loose, embroidered at leg / ankle. It is a great choice for wedding functions. It is worn with dupatta. In India due to hot climate, cotton is the natural choice of fabric. Other fabrics is also chosen for special occasions.

Party Wear Suits

This is the new innovation by our fashion designers. There was a desire to have something special to wear for your special occasion or social gatherings. Different types of designs and patterns are tried and tested. Dresses are customized as per individual requirements. Technology has played an important role in creating great designs and patterns.
